HSL C801X

Compact deadbolt lock

Deadbolt lock for passage doors with single turn deadbolt throw. As replacement lock for old third-party products.

Functional description

The HSL C801X mechanical passage lock can be mortise mounted and is a robust design with locking technology based on the STUV HSL series standard. The deadbolt offers a 20 mm throw.

Unlocking is achieved by turning the HSL key 180°, which unlocks the internal locking unit and retracts the deadbolt. The key can be withdrawn when the bolt is fully retracted.

Locking occurs when the main deadbolt is fully extended and the internal locking unit engages by turning the HSL key 180°.

The lock can be used as a retrofitting (1:1 Exchange) for similar locks from other manufacturers, as the lock case dimensions are identical (e.g. 3G112).

A cover plate is available to cover existing door openings due to larger key guides of old locks in a safety-relevant manner.

Re-coding the lock

The locking mechanism can be re-coded to a different locking when it is unlocked (bolt retracted). This requires a key of the current locking and a key of the future locking.

Features

Deadbolt lock for passage doors with single turn deadbolt throw. As replacement lock for old third-party products.

Application areas

Type HSL C801X is designed as a replacement lock (retrofitting) for third-party products (e.g. 3G112) and is mainly used in passage doors. The HSL C810X is a sturdy mortice deadlock designed with the STUV Prison Solutions HSL mortice lock footprint. The mechanical deadbolt has a total throw of 20 mm.

Options

The following equipment options are available for lock type HSL C801X:

  • S1 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on one side
  • S2 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on both sides
  • DR | DIN direction: right hand
  • DL | DIN direction: left hand
  • DB | DIN direction: right and left
  • MK1 | Night Shift locking through Master key (Double Action)
  • MK2 | Night Shift locking through Master key (4 Eye Concept)
  • MK | Magnet in latch: front side
  • PS | Production lock (dummy lock without tumbler lock mechanism)

S1 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on one side

The key guide of the main locking mechanism is located on one side of the lock. This equipment is used e.g. for detention room locks.

Configurable options

  • Lockable on one side
  • Lockable on both sides

S2 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on both sides

The key guide of the main locking mechanism is located on both sides of the lock. This equipment is used e.g. for passage doors.

Configurable options

  • Lockable on one side
  • Lockable on both sides

DR | DIN direction: right hand

If the hinges are on the right side of the door, it is the "DIN right" door opening.

Configurable options

  • DIN direction: right
  • DIN direction: left

DL | DIN direction: left hand

If the hinges are on the left side of the door, it is the "DIN left" door opening.

Configurable options

  • DIN direction: right
  • DIN direction: left

DB | DIN direction: right and left

Bolt locks that close on both sides can be used for both DIN right and DIN left doors. A specification when ordering is not required here. This applies e.g. to lock types HSL 101 and HSL 301 with feature S2.

MK1 | Night Shift locking through Master key (Double Action)

The warden key can only open the lock if the master key has set the locking mechanism to the release position. This function can be used, for example, to implement a day/night locking system without an additional lock. The master key can both activate the release position and lock the deadbolt forwards and backwards.

Configurable options

  • MK1 - Night Shift locking through Master key (Double Action)
  • MK2 - Night Shift locking through Master key (4 Eye Concept)
  • MK3 - Standard operation via warden key

MK2 | Night Shift locking through Master key (4 Eye Concept)

Both authorized keys are always required to open the lock. This function is intended to ensure that a door can only be opened when two staff members are present.

Configurable options

  • MK1 - Night Shift locking through Master key (Double Action)
  • MK2 - Night Shift locking through Master key (4 Eye Concept)
  • MK3 - Standard operation via warden key

MK | Magnet in latch: front side

With a reed contact (provided by the customer) in the frame, this feature enables the electronic evaluation of the locking status of the door (signal: bolt locked and door in frame). The two magnets are visible on the front side of the bolt.

Configurable options

  • Bolt without magnet
  • Bolt with bar magnet
  • Latchbolt with magnet

PS | Production lock (dummy lock without tumbler lock mechanism)

Dummy lock available for door production without security features. The production lock will be charged. After a faultless return (inspection by STUV Prison Solutions), the amount minus shipping costs will be refunded or charged.
