Unlocking the lock and opening the flap:

• Insert the key into the profile half cylinder and turn it clockwise to retract the latch bolt.
• Hold the key and the latch bolt in position and pull the key to open the flap.
• With the flap open, turn the key anti-clockwise and remove it.
• Automatic slam action locking of the food flap

Simply push the flap into the closed position, the latch bolt locks the flap automatically. Unlike the Chubb 4L80 lock, the latch bolt is secured via the auxiliary latch and cannot be manipulated in closed position. No opening in the frame is required for the auxiliary latch, as it is pressed into the lock when the flap is closed.

The HSL C201X food hatch lock is used to securely lock an inspection hatch on a detention room door. It has a locking mechanism that can be unlocked with a Euro profile half cylinder. This robust and reliable lock type is ideal for use in detention rooms where secure and easy handling of the inspection hatch is required. The ability to close the hatch without a key and open it with a profile cylinder key offers both security and ease of use.

The type HSL C201X is designed as a replacement lock (retrofitting) for Chubb 4L80 (same screw-on points and latchbolt position) and is used in inspection flaps of detention room doors. The latchbolt is locked forwards and backwards via a turn (180° key rotation).
