Mechanical detention action cell lock
Screw-on deadbolt lock for detention room doors with slam action locking and mechanical indication of the locking status on the side of the key guide. The lock can be either flush or surface mounted. The main bolt is automatically extended providing a throw of 32 mm and deadlocked on closure of door.
Functional description
Unlocking is done by turning the HSL key 180°. The main deadbolt is then retracted by pressing the lever handle down. The bolt is held automatically as long as the door is open.
Locking is automatic when the door is returned to the closed position and the auxiliary latch presses against the strike plate fixed to the frame, releasing the main bolt.
The lock is equipped with a visual indicator that allows staff to check the lock's locking status. If the indicator is in the horizontal position, the lock is locked, in all other positions the door is not locked.
Re-coding the lock
The locking mechanism can be re-coded to a different locking when it is unlocked (bolt withdrawn). This requires a key of the current locking and a key of the future locking.

Application areas
The mechanical cell lock HSL C175 can be installed flush in the door or mounted as a screw-on lock. The robust construction is based on the STUV HSL standard. The main bolt has a bolt exclusion of 32 mm and is automatically released when the door is completely closed.
The lock is designed as a replacement lock (retrofit) for existing locks on detention room doors.
