Functional description

The HSL double-bit key is inserted into the lock.

The deadbolt is withdrawn with the key via a single tour (180° turn). The cremone bolt is retracted via a 45° turn of the lever upwards. Occupant locking is active.

Staff:
The privacy latch is locked back via a second turn (180° turn). The door can be opened.

Occupant:
The privacy latch is retracted via profile cylinder key. The door can be opened. (if the latch is withdrawn via the occupant lock, the cylinder key cannot be removed).

The door is being closed.

Occupant:
The auxiliary latch secures the latch when the door is slammed shut.

Staff:
The cremone bolt is extended via a 45° turn of the lever downwards. The deadbolt is pre-locked with the key via a tour (180° turn).

The door is completely locked.

Re-coding the lock

The locking mechanism can be re-coded to a different locking when it is unlocked (bolt retracted). This requires a key of the current locking and a key of the future locking.

Features

Deadbolt/latch lock with additional cremone locking for especially secured custody areas. It has a re-codable HSL tumbler locking system. In the standard corridor side locking version, the locks have a mechanical locking status indicator on the key guide side.

Application areas

The type HSL 302 is designed for detention room doors and specially secured detention areas. The additional cremone locking downwards and upwards secures the door on three sides.

Overview

  • designed for specially secured detention rooms
  • Cremone bolt deadlocked optionally without, in extended, in withdrawn main bolt state
  • Occupant locking via profile cylinder and rotary knob (operates bolt latch)
  • easy operation with HSL double-bit key (2 turn)
  • Lock can be re-coded without tools
  • cremone rods are not included in the scope of delivery

Product locations

  • Custody door
  • Extra-secured detention door

Options

The following equipment options are available for lock type HSL 302:

  • S1 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on one side
  • S2 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on both sides
  • DR | DIN direction: right hand
  • DL | DIN direction: left hand
  • DB | DIN direction: right and left
  • OA | Opening direction: outward
  • OE | Opening direction: inward
  • SK | Special forend: angular
  • MK | Magnet in latch: front side
  • TO | Cremone bar blocking: without
  • TE | Cremone bar blocking: with bolt retracted
  • TA | Cremone bar blocking: with bolt pre-locked
  • AS | Removal barrier
  • PS | Production lock (dummy lock without tumbler lock mechanism)
  • RI | Bolt position indicator: one-sided inverse

S1 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on one side

The key guide of the main locking mechanism is located on one side of the lock. This equipment is used e.g. for detention room locks.

Configurable options

  • Lockable on one side
  • Lockable on both sides

S2 | Main Locking Mechanism: Lockable on both sides

The key guide of the main locking mechanism is located on both sides of the lock. This equipment is used e.g. for passage doors.

Configurable options

  • Lockable on one side
  • Lockable on both sides

DR | DIN direction: right hand

If the hinges are on the right side of the door, it is the "DIN right" door opening.

Configurable options

  • DIN direction: right
  • DIN direction: left

DL | DIN direction: left hand

If the hinges are on the left side of the door, it is the "DIN left" door opening.

Configurable options

  • DIN direction: right
  • DIN direction: left

DB | DIN direction: right and left

Bolt locks that close on both sides can be used for both DIN right and DIN left doors. A specification when ordering is not required here. This applies e.g. to lock types HSL 101 and HSL 301 with feature S2.

OA | Opening direction: outward

Required specification for one-sided closing locks with deadbolt latch or deadbolt and latch. This applies e.g. to lock types HSL 102 and 104 with feature S1.

OE | Opening direction: inward

Required specification for one-sided closing locks with deadbolt latch or deadbolt and latch. This applies e.g. to lock types HSL 102 and 104 with feature S1.

SK | Special forend: angular

The forend is square at both ends and not round.

Configurable options

  • Standard forend: round
  • Special forend: angular
  • Special forend: extra wide
  • Special forend: extra long

MK | Magnet in latch: front side

With a reed contact (provided by the customer) in the frame, this feature enables the electronic evaluation of the locking status of the door (signal: bolt locked and door in frame). The two magnets are visible on the front side of the bolt.

Configurable options

  • Bolt without magnet
  • Bolt with bar magnet
  • Latchbolt with magnet

TO | Cremone bar blocking: without

The cremone bolt mechanism can be retracted and extended independently of the lock's locking status. The cremone bolt mechanism can always be moved freely via the lever.

Configurable options

  • Cremone bar blocking: without
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt retracted
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt pre-locked

TE | Cremone bar blocking: with bolt retracted

The cremone bolt mechanism cannot be moved when the bolt is retracted (open state). Sequence of operation: Close the door, close the bolt, extend the cremone bolt mechanism.

This option prevents:

  • Locking the door from the outside via the cremone bolt by unauthorised persons

Configurable options

  • Cremone bar blocking: without
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt retracted
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt pre-locked

TA | Cremone bar blocking: with bolt pre-locked

The cremone bolt cannot be moved when the bolt is pre-locked (locked state). Operating sequence: Close the door, extend the cremone bolt mechanism, pre-lock the bolt.

This option prevents:

  • Retracting the cremone bars from the outside by unauthorised persons

Configurable options

  • Cremone bar blocking: without
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt retracted
  • Cremone bar blocking: with bolt pre-locked

AS | Removal barrier

The removal barrier prevents unauthorised removal of the lock when the door is open. The lock can only be removed when the locking elements are locked. Ergo, the double-bit key is absolutely necessary.

PS | Production lock (dummy lock without tumbler lock mechanism)

Dummy lock available for door production without security features. The production lock will be charged. After a faultless return (inspection by STUV Prison Solutions), the amount minus shipping costs will be refunded or charged.

RI | Bolt position indicator: one-sided inverse

With the "inverse" equipment option, the indicator is in the opposite direction to the standard, i.e. when the bolt is closed, the indicator is retracted. Tightening torque of the locking status indicator: Ma= 6 Nm

For locks used without bolt position indicator, there is no drilling in the door leaf.

Configurable options

  • Bolt position indicator one-sided
  • Bolt position indicator on both sides
  • Bolt position indicator one-sided inverse
  • Bolt position indicator on both sides inverse
